Meet the Cast of Ruined: Emeline- Ebonee Christina Johnson

Ebonee is in her fourth year at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. She is blessed to have performed as Ruth Younger in A Raisin in the Sun, the Old Lady in Dining Room, Shirley the Shaman in Days of Our School Life, Ms. Cantry in The Young and the Fair, Mama Williams for Make It Happen Youth Ensemble’s Our Journey, Roberta Mavis in The Old Beginning, and as a featured dancer in Oklahoma! and in the ensemble for Big- the Musical.  Aside from acting she enjoys singing in the choir and being ASFA’s sound designer.

As a sophomore at The Alabama School Of Fine Arts and lover of theatre since a young age, Whitney has performed in onstage and offstage roles in dozens of theatre & dance productions, step shows, and pageants. Her favorite roles so far have been Mocha in Runaways and Louise in The Young and the Fair; she is humbled to add this role to the list.

Meet the Cast of Ruined: Fortune – Benoit Johnson

Benoit is a UAB Theatre graduate from Tacoma, Washington. He has appeared in over a dozen productions at UAB including The Taming of the Shrew, The Laramie Project, In the Blood, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, Rhinoceros, and The Tempest. Benoit is a founding member of Renovation Theatre Company, who has produced many works in Birmingham and San Francisco including The Dutchman (SF), and The Zoo Story (BHM). Renovation has also hosted several festivals. After graduation he worked on and off screen in Los Angeles, including an appearance on Fox’s Glee. He is excited to work with City Equity Theatre and Aldridge Repertory Theatre, and to work again with Cheryl Hall. He plans on auditioning for graduate programs next year.
