City Equity Theatre’s new play a gritty tale of the men who fought addiction one twelve-steps at a time: on al.com

The history of Dr. Bob Smith and Bill Wilson and their formation of perhaps the most famous addiction support and recovery program has been well chronicled, but director Sandra Taylor said that in the hands of a company known for edgier fare, their new play Bill W and Dr. Bob, which starts Friday, the tail end of National Recovery Month, is a more personal, somewhat gritty portrait of  almost larger-than-life champions of American morality.
